Lorraine Heizenrader, 83, passed away on April 9. 2017 in Oroville California. She was born on February 10, 1934 in Fresno, California to Joe and Mollie Kozera. She grew up in Fresno and after marrying Gary Heizenrader, they owned a few businesses in Fresno before moving to South Lake Tahoe to work at a local casino. Then in 1983 they moved to Oroville and took over running the The Keg Room, eventually purchasing the business. Unfortunately, Gary was killed in an automobile accident a few years later, but Lorraine continued running The Keg Room for many years. In 2001 she sold the business and retired. Lorraine enjoyed relaxing by the river, fishing and floating down the river on a tube or raft with her dogs. She loved planting vegetables and flowers, her favorite being chrysanthemums, in her garden. She also collected dolphins and turtles. Lorraine will be greatly missed by family, her children said she was one of the greatest Mothers anyone could have. She was always there when needed and easy to talk to about anything. Lorraine never met a stranger, she loved and was loved by everyone she met.

She is survived by her sons Cary and Bary Heizenrader, her daughter Lori Fortuna, her sisters and brothers, three granddaughters Angela, Holly and Heidi Heizenrader, four great grandsons Janson, Xander, Jaysob and Jayen, and two great granddaughters Tatiana and Ava Angel.

A celebration of life and a potluck will be held for Lorraine on Sunday April 23, 2017 at her home 6368 Lincoln Blvd #54 in Oroville at 2:00 p.m. Please RSVP to 534-3809.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Oroville Funeral Home 530-533-0323.
