She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Richard) Hacking of South Africa; a sister, Marion (Robert) Benson of Oostburg, Wis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Dominick Veronda, formerly of Joliet; her parents; three sisters; and two brothers.
Mabel will be buried in West Chicago and a Memorial Service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Joliet at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 21, 2004. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the P.T.A. Scholarship Fund or the Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
We wish to thank her caregivers, Linda James, Mary Ellen Kursell, and Dareen Claverau for their longtime wonderful care of Mabel over the past 14 years.

All records I have found spell her given name Mabel, unlike the spelling on the headstone.
