Vida Rozita Lewis was born September 3, 1962 in Wurzburg, Germany to Cornelious and Vida Lewis. She grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina. She transitioned from this earth to be with the Lord on March 27, 2017, after nearly a one year battle with Leukemia. Rozita accepted Christ at an early age.

Growing up, Rozita was a fun and smart child and was always getting into trouble with her younger brother Zachary. Rozita was also a tomboy and enjoyed climbing trees just as much as her brother did.

Rozita's heart and soul was her son Brian. She was so proud of his achievements in life and how he turned out to be a fine young man. As Brian was growing up she looked forward to cheering him on at his sporting events and as well as being the cheerleader coach for many years.

Rozita enjoyed going to work and looked forward to having a good laugh with her co-workers. Her career spanned from Birmingham, AL to the Federal Government as a Human Resources Specialist with the USPS and Dept. of Veterans Affairs. She also was an advent CNN watcher and Panther fan (she loved her some Cam Newton and that #1 jersey). You couldn't find another more "down to earth," "corky sense of humor." and "detail oriented person" than "Z"

She was proceeded in death by her brother, Zachary Lewis.

Rozita leaves to cherish loving memories, her son, Brian, her father and mother, Cornelius and Vida Lewis of Wilmington, NC, her brother, Jimmy Richburg of Wilmington, NC, her favorite aunt Theresa Jones, her puppy Ruger and a host of other relatives and friends.
