NEW DENMARK MAN KILLED OUT WEST
Michael Heffernen Meets Death in Livingston, Mont.—No Particulars Yet.
Remains to Be Shipped Here—Deceased Engaged in Railway Extension

Word reached the city this morning that Michael Heffernen, whose home is at New Denmark, was killed sometime Saturday at Livingston, Montana.

No particulars were contained in the message which was received by his brother James and sister, Mrs. Michael McNamara, but as Mr. Heffernen was a bridge carpenter working in the employ of the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul road, it is the belief of the relatives that he met death on the road. Extension work is being done in the west by the road, and Mr. Heffernen went away from here about a year ago.

The relatives immediately wired to the authorities in Livingstone to have the remains sent on to Green Bay and it is expected that they will reach here Wednesday or Thursday. The funeral will be held from St. James church at Cooperstown.

Mr. Heffernen has a mother living at New Denmark, two brothers, Patrick and James, and three sisters, Miss Eleanor, Mrs. Moore of Goldbar, Wash., and Mrs. Michael McNamara of the city.
