Philip M. Adamie, 80, of Borger passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tim Hall of Grace Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Philip Michael Adamie was born March 12, 1937 in Pampa, Texas to George and Tilda Ghislaine (Michiels) Adamie. He had been a Borger resident since he was six years old moving from Pampa. Philip graduated from Phillips High School where he took pride in being a Blackhawk. He married Gaydell McDonald December 18, 1982 in Stinnett and retired as a lab tech from Phillips 66.

Philip enjoyed watching sports, including baseball, football, tennis, golf and basketball. He followed the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Tech, and was a diehard Saint Louis Cardinals fan. Philip also played football, golf, and tennis. He was still playing tennis and golf up into his 70's.

Philip loved his family. He was a devoted husband, faithful son, protective brother, loving father who dearly loved spending time with his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Gaydell February 13, 2003, and a daughter Vanesa Videll.

Survivors include three sons Sam Adamie and wife Shelly of Aledo, Kurt Adamie of Fort Worth, Nathan Gillilan and wife Sheila of Borger; daughter Shelly Cantrell and husband John of Canyon; brother Tony Adamie of Abilene; sister Marilyn Chapman of Borger; nine grandchildren Brett and Nikki Adamie, Destiny and Chassity Gillilan, Desiree' Cosby, Alia Osburn, Averi, Rachel, and Kelsey Cantrell; nine great-grandchildren Adalee Rangel, Carter and Charlotte Cosby, Alijah, Aubree, Tevin, and Benjamin Osburn, Emerie Cantrell, and Landry Jarnagin; and a nephew Victor Chapman.

Family will be at 1006 Bowman.
