REV. ROBERT JEROME YANCY JR., 66, of Memphis, associate pastor of West Memphis First Baptist Church, died of heart failure Monday at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. Services will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at West Memphis First Baptist Church with burial at 10 a.m. Monday in New Park Cemetery. Anthony Funeral Home in West Memphis has charge. Rev. Yancy, the husband of Carrie Yancy, also leaves four daughters, Kelly Yancy and Deborah Hines, both of East St. Louis, Ill., and Cassandra Townsend and Dorothy Tracy Malone, both of Chicago; a son, Lydell McGuire, and his stepmother, Annie Mae Yancy, both of Chicago; five sisters, Geraldine Yancy and Debbie Washington, both of Memphis, Faye Yancy of Detroit, Linda Hollister Powell of Chicago and Judith Ware of Baltimore; nine brothers, Rev. James Washington of Memphis, Rev. Kevin Yancy, Derrick Yancy, Sherwin Yancy, Steve Yancy, Darryl Yancy and Terry Yancy, all of Chicago, Sheridan Washington of Milwaukee and Mark Washington of Houston, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
