Billy Ray Craver, Sr., 76, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at his home in Marshall. Billy was born September 15, 1940 in Harleton to Willie and Dorothy Mae Hicks Craver. Billy was a jack of all trades; he could do it ALL! He was a carpenter, welder and mechanic. He loved to build things, especially houses. He had a shop behind house where he could cut his own lumber and would even haul logs as well. In his earlier years, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Billy will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, J.D. Craver; and sister, Willie Mae Williams. Billy is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Barbara Craver; sons, Billy R. Craver, Jr. (Angela) and Jerry Wayne Craver (Debbie); step-sons, Troy Long, III and Clifford Wayne Long; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and many other family member and friends.
