Larry was a long time employee of TRW (formerly Dayton-Walther) in Fayette. A lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, and camping. Larry and Judy were longtime seasonal campers at Sunny’s Campground near Wauseon.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 52 years, Judy, are three sons, Larry Shay of Toledo, Robert Shay of Fayette, and Tracey Shay of Fayette; a daughter, Sherrie (Ronald) Buehrer of Wauseon; his sister, Donna Suydan of Clayton; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Adam, Chandler, Dakota, Caleb, Ashley, Amber, and Ronald Jr.; and seven great-grandchildren, Oaklie, Beckette, Braelyn, Lexus, Addison, Cooper, and Trystan.
Preceding Larry in death in addition to his parents, was a sister, Shirley Hall.
A funeral service for Larry will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci with Rev. Bill VanValkenburg officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
