AGE 72 YEARS
Carol L. Alexander, of Liberty, passed away on Thursday, April 13 at Broad Acres Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late George and Ester (Patterson) Wilson. Carol was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Robert G. Alexander.
Carol is survived by her eight children, Richard and R. Michael of Liberty, David (Jeanne) of South Williamsport, Ryan of Liberty, Melissa of Trout Run, Christopher and Brian of Liberty, Derek of Blossburg; five grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard C. and Sharon Alexander of Liberty, Daniel and Jean Stevens of Tioga, Edgar Messner of Roaring Branch.
Carol was predeceased by her sister, Joyce Messner.
Carol graduated from North Penn High School and Rochester Business Institute. After college, she was employed at Blossburg State Hospital until 1968 and then worked at Mansfield University for 37 years.
Carol loved her family and enjoyed going to sporting events and spending time with the grandchildren. She was an avid reader and belonged to the Liberty Book Club. She was secretary of Sebring Cemetery Association.
Carol was an active member of the Liberty Lutheran Church. She served on church council, participated in special music, helped with church dinners and more. She also served as parish council president.
Funeral Service at Liberty Lutheran Church, Liberty
with Rev. Richard Adams officiating.
Interment will be held at Salam-St Paul Cemetery.
