ANGIER - Lloyd Hampton Altman, Jr., 77, passed away peacefully Sunday at Wake Med-Cary surrounded by family and friends. He was the son of the late Lloyd Hampton Altman, Sr. and Sarah Hodges Altman.
LH worked with Atlantic Tobacco as a sales representative and was the owner of L H Sales Incorporated. His love of people and fellowship were evident, as he never went anywhere he didnt know someone. He will be greatly missed by so many people whos lives he has touched by his giving heart and generosity.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 24th at 2:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church in Angier, with burial to follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Surviving family include his son, Lloyd Hampton Altman, III, of Wilmington, daughters Kimberly Lynn Altman of Raleigh and Pamela Ann Altman of Angier, sister Virginia Altman Penny and niece, Sharon Lynn Penny both of Angier, as well as many other close family and friends.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Nancy Andrews Altman in 2008.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 23 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier and at other times at the home.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Pratik Desai and staff at Cary Cardiology, as well as Elizabeth OLeary at Capitol Nephrology for their care during his illness.
Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made in L Hs memory to the American Diabetes Association, or to Trinity Baptist Church in Angier.
