Pittsburgh, Pa., August 28 (I.N.S.) - One woman was burned to death and two other persons miraculously escaped death here today when a gasoline tank exploded after an auto crash, showering the victims with flaming gasoline.
The dead woman was Mrs. Frances Susman, 26. Miss Thelma Von Hoppy, 20, and Lawrence Meyer, 24, both injured in the wreck, were taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Witnesses said the accident occurred when Mrs. Susman lost control of the automobile and it careened into a pole.
