James B. Stoner, 87, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a member of the Chattanooga Valley Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints. He had worked most of his life as a Heavy Machine Operator and was a Mason for more than 66 years and a member of the East Lake Masonic Lodge #698 F&AM. He loved being outdoors camping, fishing and collecting old relics. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Sarah Stoner; son, Bobby Dean Stoner; brother, Willie Banjo Stoner and sister, Annie T. MaHaffey.

Survivors include his loving wife of more than 69 years, Betty Aaron Stoner of Chickamauga, GA; son & daughter-in-law, James & Delores Stoner of Chickamauga, GA; daughter, Ann Stoner & Pat Henson of Flintstone, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Tilly & Phyllis Stoner, Dick & Linda Stoner and Tom & Andrea Stoner all of Rossville, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Audrey & Joe Murray of Lookout Mountain, GA; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family & friends.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Chattanooga Valley Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints with Bishop Nathan Evans officiating.
