He was born on March 11, 1891 near Middleford, the son of Walter W. and Ida C. Ricker Gray.

He married Lenore N. Avery in 1912. She died on Jan. 22, 1952. In 1953 he married Ruth Harbaugh and she passed away in November of 1961. In 1962 he married Blanche Loveless and she survives.

A retired farm implement salesman and farmer, Mr. Gray was a member of the Antioch Congregational Christian Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Walter W. Gray of Thorntown rt 2; a step-…fort; two daughters, Mrs. John (Guilda) Black of Frankfort rt. 1, and Mrs. Harry (Ida Beth) Shoemaker Jr. of Frankfort Rt.5; four step-daughters, Mrs. Larry Leach, Mrs. Irene Horton, Mrs. Betty Gibson, all of Frankfort and Mrs. George H… of Kokomo; three sisters, Mrs. L. E. Bell of Buck Creek, Mrs. Clarence Gochenour of Rossville and Indian Rocks Beach, and Mrs. Russell Wright of Frankfort and a brother, Paul Gray of Frankfort Rt. 1. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday March 4 at the Eller Chapel with the Rev. Wallace Schmidt officiating. Burial was in Bunnell Cemetery.
