In memory of George Brooks, Esq., who died 2nd May 1954, aged 75 years; also Mary Stephana, wife of George Brooks, Esq., M.D., and eldest daughter of the Venerable William Cowper, D.D., Archdeacon of Cumberland. Gentle and affectionate in spirit, and of quiet and unobtrusive piety, she departed this life in hopes of salvation only through the merits of Jesus Christ, on April 17, 1859, aged 54 years.
