Emanuel "Willie" Lizio, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home in Fountain Hills, Ariz. on Friday, March 4, 2011. Born July 15, 1931, he was the son of Anthony and Mama Celeste Lizio. He was the devoted husband of Marilyn; loving father of William, Monica Knigge, Larry Heckman, Denise Brown and Karen Leber; and brother of Anthony (Theresa) Lizio, Pasquale "Patrick" (deceased) (Patricia) Lizio, Malina Lizio and Clara (Rudolph) Melchlorre. He also leaves his nephews, grandnephews, nieces, grandnieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 9, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (¾ mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle. Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 10, at the funeral home, proceeding to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1415 Lies Road, Carol Stream, for an 11 a.m. funeral Mass. Entombment will be in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Wolf Road and Roosevelt Road, Hillside. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the or Hospice of the Valley.
