F. Eleanor Devlin, 89 years, of rural Ashland, IL died Tuesday morning, February 6, 2007 at the Walker Nursing Home in Virginia, IL.

She was born December 18, 1917 in Virginia, IL; the daughter of Frank and Edith Taylor Fox. She married Leo Francis Devlin on February 1, 1940 in Ashland, IL and he preceded in death on June 26, 1997.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Ann Marr (husband, James) of rural Virginia; a son, Bernard Devlin (wife, Eileen) of rural Ashland; three granddaughters, Chandra Tripp (husband, Don) of Crestwood, MO, Jacinda Cheshire (husband, Paul) of Frisco, TX, and Sibyl Cox (husband, Justin) of Chatham; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Hays of Virginia; a brother, Merle Fox (wife, Mary) of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Devlin was a 1935 graduate of Virginia High School. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Ashland and the church's Altar Society. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Household Science Club and a charter member of Cass County Home Extension. She was a member of the former Virginia Woman's Club and formerly served as a 4-H leader.
