HATLEY - Elsie Irene Robison Duncan, 89, died Feb. 5, 2007, at Golden Living Nursing Center in Amory. Services are today at 1 p.m. at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with the Revs. David Chrestman and A.K. Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Pope Cemetery in Lamar County, Ala. Visitation will continue today until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Duncan was born June 25, 1917, in Itawamba County to the late Edgar and Mary Boyd Robison. She lived in Detroit, Ala., and Hatley for 37 years. She was a homemaker and a Jehovah's Witnesses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milas Duncan; son, Jimmy Duncan; brothers and sisters, Varnell, Willie Mae, Melba, Thomas and Russell Robison; two grandsons; and three great-granddaughters. She is survived by her sons, Robert Jake Duncan of Smithville and Joseph Boyd Duncan of Aberdeen; daughters, Mary Ann Irvin and Irene Phillips, both of Hatley, and Sarah Rebecca Faught of Tupelo; brother, Charles Robison of Smithville; sisters, Dimple Swindle of Blue Mountain, Mary Bowen of Scottsboro, Ala., and Ann Knight of Smithville; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
