He was born in Paducah, Kentucky, graduated from UC Berkeley, served in the U.S. Army in Europe during WWII, and worked for Standard Oil of CA/Chevron for 38 years. A job with Pacific Resources brought him to Honolulu in 1973, and he later was the owner/operator of Mid-Pacific Towing.
Jeanne, 89, died Nov. 15, 2005. She was born in San Francisco, graduated from UC Berkeley, flew planes for the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs) during WWII, worked as an interior decorator and was an accomplished watercolor artist. She was a member of the Gallery at Ward Centre.
Jeanne and Charlie were married for 64 years. They were devoted to each other and their love was an inspiration to others.
Jeanne and Charlie's children, David Robertson, Philip Robertson, Anne Thomas; son-in-law, Michael Thomas; and grandchildren, Alyssa and Katie Thomas and Reed and Paige Robertson, are left with many wonderful memories.
