Joshua was the son of David C. Jr. and Ruth Mae (Ott) Sexton. He attended BlackJack, Talihina, graduated from Atoka High School. He then went on to attend Murray and Haskell Institute where he studied engineering. Joshua was a mechanic. He owned and operated Josh's Auto Repair where he was self employed. Joshua proudly served his country in The U.S. Army, where he was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. He married Debra Ann (Cassity) on Friday, July 10th, 1987 at Sherman, TX. They had 29 wonderful years together. He was a member of Country Chapel Baptist Church in Sherman, TX and a member of Choctaw Nation. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching TV and spending time with his grandbabies. He coached little league baseball and 4-H shooting competitions. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael James Harjo; brothers, Daniel and Paul Sexton; sisters, Beatrice Cacy, Edith Greenwood, Betty Lou Watkins, and Teresa Veluna. Service will be held at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Atoka, OK on April 22, 2017. Interment will be at Buffalo Cemetery.
