Dorothy Pauline Johnson, the daughter of John Henry and Amelia Catherine Regina (Vette) Tiemann, was born July 5, 1924 in Northboro, Iowa and died June 24, 2015 at her home in Council Bluffs, at the age of 90 years.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Larry Johnson and his wife, Sherry, of Council Bluffs, and Janice Frain and her husband, William, of Homer City, Pa.; her grandchildren, Mark Johnson and his wife, Sue, of Huxley, Iowa, Kristin Andersen and her husband, Dan, of Polk City, Iowa, Tamie Blank and her husband, Erik, of Indiana, Pa., William Frain and his wife, Tammie, of Ford City, Pa., and Kathy Dashvick and her husband, Brian, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; twenty-one great grandchildren; and her sister Helen.
Funeral services will be on Monday, June 29, 2015, at 11 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Oakland. Visitation with the family will take place on Monday morning, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, from 9 a.m., until the time of the funeral service. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
