John P. Allman, 66, passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at Akron General Medical Center.
He was born in Akron and was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church. Mr. Allman was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, serving prior to the Korean Conflict, and was in the Army Reserves for nine years.
He was preceded in death by parents, Karl and Lucille (An des), and is survived by wife, Mary Lou (Walsh) of Akron; sons, Eric (Susan) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Karl (Jeanie) of Dick son City, Pa., Thomas (Elizabeth) of Northfield, and Christopher (Sarah) of Akron; daughter, Deanna (David) Barrett of Hartville; 14 grandchil dren; brother, James (Elizabeth) of Stow; and sister, Catherine Allman of Cuyahoga Falls.
Cremation has taken place. A committal service of cremains will take place Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Burial Park's Mausoleum, where the family will also receive friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Vascular Center at Akron General Medical Center, 400 Wabash Ave., Akron 44307.
