Eva M. Smith, 79, of the Louis Memorial Christian Village died Tuesday in St. John's Hospital.
She was born in Springfield, the daughter of Thomas and Fannie Stroub Jennings. She was a telephone operator at Illinois Bell Telephone Company for many years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are one brother, John E. Jennings of Springfield; one sister, Fay E. Harris of Springfield; one niece.
Services at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
