Kathy Louise Basham, 64, of Randleman, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 11:00 am at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home on April 25, 2017.
Kathy was born February 22, 1953 in Guilford County to the late Fred Love Clayton and Margaret Louise Atkins Clayton and was of the Christian faith. She retired from VF Corporation after 38 years of employment as Mail Duplicatory Supervisor. Kathy loved life, enjoyed making memories by taking endless photos, taking trips to the beach, and going camping. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, sister-in law, co-worker, and friend who was loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 36 years, Danny Ray Basham, Sr. of the home; daughter, Shelly Beeson (Bobby) of Jamestown, NC; son, Aaron Royce West of Randleman; step-children, Danny Ray Basham, Jr. (Tracie) of Daytona Beach, FL and Tiffany Basham of Anderson, SC; sisters, Carol Vann (John) of Brunswick, GA, Patty Burrows (Leon) of Walnut Cove, NC, and Vicki Jerrell of Swansboro, NC; brothers, Dusty Clayton (Jean) of Belews Creek, NC, Tom Clayton (Shelby) of Maiden, NC, and Randy Clayton of Swansboro, NC; grandchildren, Matthew, Dylan, Jaydan, Cody, and Casey; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
