Moses Mayhew came to Kentucky with his brothers Alexander, James, and Reason Lucas Mayhew. His brother Alexander gave the land and founded Stony Point Church where Moses and the rest of the Mayhews attended during that period.

Moses Mayhew married Nancy Turner 29 Dec 1796 in Bedford Co, Virginia, and they had children:

28 Nov 1818 Sumner Co, TN: Moses Mayhew (Jr) married Nancy Ashur/Abshur



"It is reported that Moses Mayhew married Nancy Lyles and she was the mother of Catherine Mayhew." If that is correct, Nancy Turner Mayhew died before 1808. It has also been reported that Nancy Lyles married Moses Mayhew's brother Reason Lucas Mayhew.

"Deed Book B, p. 459, Sept. 26, 1819. James Liles sells property to Moses Mayhew, the property lines exactly as appears in the deed below.
Deed Book K, p. 370, Oct. 18, 1852 Allen Co. Ky. Henry Mayhew for $100 for 100 acres, part of 400 acres patented to James Liles, 1812. To: Justice, James, Moses, R.L.(Mayhew?) John W. Lyles, Catherine Lyles and Zachariah Mayhew.
In 1831 Moses Mayhew Sr. Listed 600 acres, 100 acres of which being originally from James Lyles patent.
Catherine Mayhew m. John Wesley Lyles June 22, 1835."
