LAKE CITY -- The funeral for Lewis Garrard will be 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Episcopal Church in Frontenac, with the Rev. Michael Schuelenberg officiating. Burial will be in Old Frontenac Cemetery.
Mr. Garrard, 70, of Frontenac, a retired teacher, died Sunday at Rochester Methodist Hospital.
Born Oct. 28, 1920, in Minneapolis, he taught in Minneapolis public schools for many years, including 25 years at Washburn High School. He moved to Frontenac after his retirement in 1981. He was married and later divorced.
Survivors include two sons, Peter and Michael, both of Minneapolis; three grandchildren; a brother, Stewart of McLean, Va.; and special friend, Florence (Mrs. Benjamin) Strup of Old Frontenac.
Friends may call at the church an hour before the service Monday.
Peterson-Mahn Funeral Home in Lake City is in charge of arrangements.
