Nicholas C. Freudenreich, age 32, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, April 21, 2017 at his residence. He was surrounded by his family and friends.Nick was born on May 26, 1984 in Sheridan, WY to Kathleen Burlage Freudenrich and the late Terry Freudenrich. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 2002. On October 6, 2007, Nick married Ashley DeSmith in Manitowoc. Nick then had the second love of his life, his beloved daughter Adalida, born on August 26, 2013. Nick had worked as a crew chief at Port-A-Pier and most recently at Sargento in Hilbert as a process tech. He enjoyed spending his time working on cars, but mostly being with his family. Nick was a devout member of Trinity Alliance Church in Manitowoc.Survivors include Nick's wife, Ashley; daughter, Adalida; mom, Kathy, Manitowoc; two sisters, Gudrun (Bryan) Wetak, Manitowoc; and Anja (Bryan) Dreps, Sheboygan; grandmother, Etta Freudenrich, Arden, NC; three nieces, Eleanora and Magnolia Dreps, and Miranda (J.D.) Teske; two nephews, Joseph and Douglas Wetak; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dave and Lisa DeSmith, Johnson City, TX; brother-in-law, Matt DeSmith, Manitowoc; also other relatives and friends. Nick was preceded in death by his father, Terry Freudenrich; maternal grandparents, Edith Cumberland and Kenneth Burlage; and paternal grandfather, Charles Freudenrich; maternal grandparents-in-law, Harold and Laura Leider; and paternal grandparents-in-law, Eugene and Elizabeth DeSmith.Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Trinity Alliance Church, 3121 Nagle Avenue, Manitowoc with Pastor Wayne Anderson officiating. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
