Jacqueline Theresa Delaney was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York on July 13, 1934, the only child of Maryanna and John Delaney. She is remembered by her friends and family as devoted to spirited conversation, a good cup of tea and a hearty celebration of St. Patrick's Day - the most important holiday of the year.
Mother of three children, Jackie lived most of her adult life in Rockland County, arriving in West Nyack in 1962. In 2013, she moved to Shrewsbury, Massachusetts to be near her loving daughter, Kathy Altomare.
Jackie passed away on April 8th in Shrewsbury. She is survived by sons Tom Jowaiszas (Susan) and Robert Jowaiszas, daughter Kathy Altomare and granddaughters Christine Shrader (Corey), Brittany Altomare, Jennifer Altomare and Mary Altomare. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
A memorial service will be held at Ascension Chapel, 650 Saddle River Road, in Airmont, NY on Saturday, April 29th at 11 am. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery. A luncheon to greet family and friends will follow.
