She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Stanfield, in 1994; her grandson, Todd Shiplet; and eleven siblings. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Sandra and Bill Shiplet, of Midland, Texas and Carolyn and Pat Newman, of Edgewood, N.M. She leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Diann Shiplet Hahn, of Midland, Texas, Lisa Cazes and Kelly Fisher, both of Oklahoma City, Okla. Surviving great-grandchildren are Spencer Hahn, Cole Novak and Sophia Cazes, Logan Woods and Emelia Fisher.
Mrs. Stanfield lived her life with the joy and expectation of one day seeing her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her precious husband. She has received her Eternal Reward to be "Forever in the Mansions of the Lord."
Mrs. Stanfield resided in Grady, N.M. for many years with her husband, Ralph Stanfield, a farmer and rancher. She served as Postmaster in the Grady Post Office for 24 years before retiring. She was a member of Parkland Baptist Church in Clovis.
Services for Mrs. Stanfield will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at the Steed-Todd Chapel. The Rev. Clyde Stanfield will officiate. Burial will follow at Grady Cemetery in Grady, N.M.
Honorary casket bearers will be the caretakers at the Beehive, Vista Care Nurses and Manuel Rubio.
