Father Jim died Sunday evening at 8PM in his Annunciata home surrounded by his family and his Servite community. He battled cancer for the last two years and especially during the last two months, when he was hospitalized several times. He came home from St. Margaret's Hospital on Wednesday, January 31st and was cared for at home until he died. His family and his Servite community had an opportunity to say good bye to him. His dying hours were inspirational, spiritual and very peaceful. We deeply mourn his passing but rejoice that he is at peace and with God.

Father Jim was a Servite Friar for 57 years and a Servite priest for 48 years. His ministry took him to many parts of the U.S. and the world. He served at Annunciata twice, most recently from 2003 until his death. He loved the Annunciata parish community. It was his desire to die at home in the Annunciata parish rectory and to have his funeral services in the parish church.

Father Jim will be waked in the Church, Sunday, February 11, 3PM to 9PM
Father Jim's Funeral Mass will be Monday, February 12, 2007, 10:00 AM
Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois.

May the soul of Father Jim rest in eternal peace.
