9 Feb 2007: Verna M. Steck, 78, of Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra, formerly of Hershey, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born January 23, 1929, in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late Ira G. and Mae P. (Lesher) Miller. She retired from Hershey Chocolate USA as a receptionist and was a member of First Evangelical Congregational Church, Palmyra. She was the widow of Henry E. Steck who died August 2, 1992, and was also preceded in death by her son James A. Steck October 5, 2005. Surviving are her daughter-in-law Vicki E. Steck of Palmyra; friend Harvey Rowe of Annville; sisters Mary E. Buse of Hershey and Arlene B. DePugh of Media. Funeral Saturday, February 10, at Buse Funeral Home, Palmyra.
