He received a Master of Arts degree from West Virginia University and was a teacher at Middletown High School for more than 33 years.
In 1981 he won Delaware Teacher of the Year. Throughout his career at MHS he coached basketball and football, where he also refereed and served as athletic director.
Mr. Bice was an active member at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for more than half a century.
He was also a draftsman.
Mr. Bice proudly served his community and was always willing to help those in need.
