James (Bill) Mount, 78, of Batesville, died Monday, April 24, 2017.
He was born on June 5, 1938 in Pfeiffer, Arkansas to Jasper Warren Mount and Birdie Ovella (Felts) Mount.
Bill is survived by his wife, Patsy Lynn (McGaha) Mount of Batesville; son, Bob Mount (wife, Angela) of Springdale, Arkansas; daughter, Rebecca Roach (husband, William C.) of Heber Springs; four grandchildren, Sarah M. Hendrix (husband, Matt), W.J. Gray Roach (wife, Elizabeth), Jacob Mount, and Kelsey Beth Mount; six great-grandchildren, Addie Grace Hendrix, Lily Claire Hendrix, Zoey Ann Hendrix, Victor Graves, Victoria Leon, and Jasper Liam Roach; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Robert Mount; and sisters, Chrystine Mount, Virginia Hardin, and Dorothy Anderson.
Pallbearers are Gray Roach, Jacob Mount, Matthew Hendrix, Jordan Turner, Noah McGaha, Mike McGaha, Keith McGaha, Bill McGaha, and Nathan Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be Sarah Hendrix, Kelsey Mount, Mandy McKinnon, and Christy Wood.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Elder Chuck Roach will be officiating with the assistance of Elder Carroll Kinley. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Batesville.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm on Thursday prior to service.
