Born Aug. 26, 1923, in Little Rock, he was a World War II Army veteran and member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Violet White Corbett.
Other survivors are his wife, Lillie "Becky" Corbett; children, Alan Corbett of Indianapolis, Ind., Linda Brown of Dallas, Wilma Harrelson of Greensboro, Karen Hennis of Randleman, N.C., another brother, Fred Corbett of Charlotte, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday at Reedy Fork Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Gunter officiating. Burial was in Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Reidsville, N.C., by Forbis & Dick Funeral Service of Greensboro.
