Kathy Ann Akers, 59, died at Brian Center in Lexington Sunday, April 30, 2017. She was a native of Stokes County, born November 2, 1957, to the late Mary Lucille Leath and Jesse James Akers. She was a graduate of Lexington Senior High School.
She is survived by three brothers: David A. Akers (Brenda) of Lexington, Ronnie R. Akers of Sophia, and James M. Akers (Regina) of Reidsville; and one sister, Janice Faye Duncan (Jackie) of Lexington.
The family will hold services at a later date. Interment will be in Patton Cemetery in Galax, VA.
