WEST COLUMBIA -- Funeral services for Eunice W. Young , 96, will be Monday, April 2, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Reverend Ed McWilliams officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Young , lovingly known as "Noonie", resident of 100D Agape Lane West Columbia, SC, died March 30, 2007. She was the widow of Charles Young . Mrs. Young was born September 10, 1910, in Shalotte, NC, to the late John C. Woodard and Daisy Bennett Woodard. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was a devoted homemaker. Earlier in her life she was employed as Young Adult Director of the YWCA in Charlotte, NC.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Day and Rudolph Walters of Columbia, SC; stepdaughter, Barbara Stone of Palm Harbor, FL; grandsons, Rudy Walters of Lugoff, SC, and David Walters and wife, Joanne, of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Anne Parrish of Waynesville, NC, and Jean Maddox and husband, Sam, of Norfolk, VA; great-grandchildren, Ashley and husband, Tony Shrypek, Rudy Walters, Jr. and Tara Talbert.
