Arnetta Wofford Herrington, 87, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Carolina House. She is the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Wofford and Mary Turner Wofford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Royal Herrington; daughter, Donna Thompson; son-in-law, Joel Thompson; brothers, Floyd Wofford, G.C. Wofford, Jr., Paul Wofford; and sisters, Pearl Calvert, Beulah Howard, Carrie Ponder, Annie D. Becknell, and Margaret Brown.
Mrs. Herrington was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a former Credit Union Manager at the VA Medical Center.
Mrs. Herrington is survived by her son, Todd Edward Herrington and wife Kate; grandchildren, Marie Herrington, Sasha Shaykevich, Nicole Shaw, Michelle Cooper and great-grandchildren, Christopher Shaw and Kaylee Cooper.
A funeral service will be held 12 p.m., Friday, May 5th at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Alice Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
