Fred G Baker of Hermitage, 52 year old, plant supervisor of Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph, Co., died yesterday at St. Thomas Hospital following a long illness.
Death was attributed to a kidney and stomach ailment.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. at Finnley-Dorris and Charlton Funeral Home conducted by Revs. Henry Horton and J.R. Cox. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
He was an active member of Dodson's Chapel United Methodist Church and for some time served as chairman of the board of stewards.
He was marries in 1924 to the former Miss Marie Kimbro who survives. In addition to his wife, he leaves three sons: Pfc James Baker of Baltimore, MD., Robert E and Charles D Baker both of Hermitage, daughter Alice Baker of Hermitage; mother Mrs. B.H. Baker of Hermitage; two brothers L.M. Baker and Hermitage and O.O. Baker of Donelson and one sister Mrs. J.W. Parker of Hermitage.
