Bob was a proud WWII Army Veteran. He served on the hospital ship, “U.S.S. Thistle”, proudly bringing our wounded back home. Bob retired from Jeep Corp. after 43 years as a Welder/Set-Up Man.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Dorothy; brother, Bill Hintz; sister, Nancy Ingram. Left to cherish his memory are his dear friends, Carl and Lori DuVall, Carl and Sarah, and David and Juliana Loo. Also surviving are his niece and nephew, Leia (Eddie) Ney and Billy (Hope) Hintz.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Burial will take place at Ft. Meigs Cemetery.
