Elizabeth M. "Betty" Barraclough, 80, of Forestville, widow of E. Kenneth "Bud" Skelly, and William D. Barraclough, died Tuesday, (January 6, 2004), at Nursing Care Center of Bristol. Elizabeth, was born January 19, 1923, in New Britain, a daughter of the late Jasper W. and Mary E. (Patnode) Jenkins. Elizabeth was a graduate of Plainville High School. She worked as a secretary for Lyons, Mather, and Lechner, Architects, and retired as a secretary/receptionist for Optometrist's Thaddeus W. Bartles Sr. and Jr. Her survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy J. Skelly and Van Dubansky of Terryville; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Diane Skelly of Farmington; three grandchildren, James Dubansky, and Jennifer and Brian Skelly; a sister, Rose Calvo of Bristol, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husbands, she was predeceased by a sister Ellen Tyler. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Avenue, Forestville. Burial will follow in Forestville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday, from 6-8 p.m., and Friday morning from 10-11 a.m., one hour before the service. Donations in her memory may be made to th American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492-1822.
