Dianne Karen Tengesdal (nee Newgard), 71, of Hoffman Estates, died peacefully surrounded by her loving children on Sunday, April 30, 2017 after a courageous three and a half year battle with leukemia. Dianne was born September 18, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, the loving daughter of Alfred and Olga Newgard. On June 11, 1966, she was united in marriage to Kjell Tengesdal; they were married for 36 years. She worked as a student supervisor at Palatine High School for the last 14 years. She is survived by her four children, Robert (Diana) Tengesdal, William Tengesdal, Kristina (Brad) Vancil, and Diana Lynn (Kerim) Pasabeg; four grandchildren, Erika and Julia Tengesdal, Abigail and Nathan Vancil; a brother Raymond (Dorothy) Newgard; and two nieces, Debbie and Linda. She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother and brothers Howard and Robert. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 4 at 10:00am at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago with Pastor Anna-Kari officiating.
