Corinne M. Brennan, age 82, died on Friday, May 5, 2017 after a long illness.She was born on January 31, 1935 at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc to Eugene Peter Demuth and Mildred Elizabeh Mueller. She attended St. Boniface and St. Paul Grade Schools and Lincoln High School, graduating with the Class of 1953. During high school, she began to work part time at Holy Family Hospital where she became interested in nursing. She attended Holy Family School of Nursing located just 1 ½ blocks from where she grew up and lived most of her life. She graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1956 and worked proudly as a nurse for 44 years. Except for three years when she lived in Green Bay, Corinne lived her entire life in Manitowoc and worked at Holy Family Hospital. Upon retirement she continued to volunteer at the hospital.After raising her children, Corinne became very active at St. Paul Parish and later at St. Francis of Assisi Parish where she served on the Worship Committee for many years. Corinne is a past member of St. Paul Women's Society and St. Clare Society. She also served as a Eucharistic minister for St. Francis of Assisi and Holy Family Hospital. She also became a member of the Serra Club, a group that sponsors vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Corinne proudly served as president of Serra fifty years after her father held the same position. She was also involved in the prayer shawl ministry.On her birthday in 1959 she married William Robert (Bob) Brennan and they had six children. Mary Jane & Wayne Petska, Mishicot, Barbara Brennan, Green Bay, Daniel Brennan, Tomah, Wisconsin, Mark D. & Jane Lea Brennan, Whitelaw, Jennifer & Tom Sytkowski, Kenosha; 16 grandchildren: Rebecca, Amanda & James Rehbein, Sara Kopach, Kimberly Petska & Nicholas Petska, Ashley & Tyler Brennan, Nicolas Brennan, Barbara Bach, Samantha Moen; William Brennan, Danielle, Emily, Jacob & Kaitlyn Brennan, Kurt & Adam Sytkowski; 11 great grandchildren; one brother: Rev. Paul E. Demuth, Green Bay; and three brothers-in-law and twelve sisters-in-law: Virginia Brennan, Kate Brennan, Roseann Brennan, Carol Koerth, Candice Brennan, Joan Brennan, John Brennan, Elaine Brennan, Susan Katelic, Peggy & Loren Johnson, Joan & Gary Lemke, Edith Hood and Dorothy Sulles. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.She was also preceded in death by one son and daughter-in-law: William O. & Susan Brennan; and five brothers-in-law: Dean, Thomas, Clifford & Dale Brennan and Skip Koerth.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Avenue) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Paul Demuth with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
