Delphia Etta Mattix, 63, wife of David L. Mattix, Hermosa Beach, passed away Sunday at a private sanitarium. Her loss is deeply mourned for she was known and respected by a wide circle of friends who admired her courage and faith. In addition to her husband she leaves one son, David R. Mattix, now in Alaska, and one daughter, Mrs. Maxine Hamilton of Lomita. Also left behind are two sisters, Mrs. D. Scrivens of Hermosa Beach and Mrs. Della Hawkins of Jefferson, Okla. Mrs. Scrivens is the mother of Ollie Scrivens, desk sergeant on the Redondo Beach police department. There are also three surviving grand children. Funeral services will be held in the Glade L. White mortuary, Hermosa Beach, Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Burial will be made at Inglewood.
