Graveside services for Austin Morris Born, Jr., 74, of Cross Roads, LA will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Bro. John Grabanski officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home.
Mr. Born was born May 25, 1942 in Shreveport, LA and passed away May 5, 2017. Mr. Born started early in life tinkering with mechanics. He worked himself up to be a very efficient heavy duty diesel mechanic, one who took great pride in his work. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Manry Born; parents, Austin and Lillian Born; two grandchildren, Andy Austin Born and Noah Austin Born; and one sister, Virginia Born Sanders.
Mr. Born is survived by two sons, Paul Christopher Born of Cross Roads, LA and Michael Andrew Born of Jamestown, LA; one daughter, Kimberly L. Born Pervez of Scottsdale, AZ; one brother, Randy Born of Bossier City, LA; one sister, Margie Born LaBrosse of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren: Christopher Austin Born, Alex Taylor Bodin, Nadeem Pervez, Tahir Pervez, Rehan Pervez, Jibran Pervez; two step-grandchildren, Johnny Lamar Bodin and Courtney Lee Bodin.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Canterbury, Christopher Austin Born, Alex Taylor Bodin.
