He was the son of Mary Ireland 1842-1920 and George Gibson Boone 1835-1913. He is seen in an 1860 census at 2 years old with George, Mary and George's mother Elizabeth in Brooks. In 1860 his name was William W. In 1870, Thomas W, 1880 William R, and some records have him as Bill.

He married Mary Youmans 2 August 1887 in Lowndes County, Georgia and they would have perhaps 12 children including, Mattie, Hattie, James, Viola, William, and Alice. Mary was the daughter of James T Youmans 1841-1904 and Nancy Rowell Youmans 1844-1897 and sister of Bill's brother Steven TW Boone's wife, Susie Youmans Boone.

His youngest son, William B Boone provided the information for his death certificate in 1938. He passed in his sleep at 75 years old. William stated he was married at the time, but Mary passed in 1924. It is possible he had remarried, but thus far no record or person has been found.

However, there is an Ethel MKU Boone living with the family in the 1930 census who is is listed as his wife. I suspect this was Bill's second wife. Information on her is slight, she was born about 1904 in Indiana and passed in 1944.
