Helen was born in Joliet, the daughter of Joseph and Gertrude McFadden Gleason. Helen was a graduate of St. Francis High School in Joliet, and was a member of the Cathedral of Saint Raymond Nonnatus, and the Council of Catholic Women.
She is survived by Glenn, her devoted husband of 65 years; three sons, Terry of Moline, Rick (Pat) of Naperville, and Mark of Pasadena, Calif.; three grandchildren, Eric, Carrie (John) Larson and Lena; two great-grandchildren, Jay and Ty Larson; her sister, Joanne Weber; her sister-in-law, Rita Gleason; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Gleason; and her sisters, Marifran Hollenbach and Adelaide Blackburn.
Helen was a third-generation Joliet resident. Her grandparents emigrated from Ireland, and Helen was proud of her Irish heritage.
