DORCELLA LAU

Dorcella Lau, age 82, of River Wood Estates, Manitowoc, formerly of Reedsville, passed away January 5, 2014 at Aurora Medical Center of Two Rivers surrounded by her children.

She was born February 23, 1931 in the Town of Rantoul, daughter of the late Fred and Alice (Kleinow) Behnke Jr. She married Milton Lau on September 16, 1950 at Trinity Lutheran church in Brillion. They farmed in the Town of Rockland until they moved to Reedsville in 1977. He preceded her in death on June 29, 2005.

She worked various jobs including an election inspector for the Village of Reedsville. She was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville where she served on the finance committee, hot lunch program and was a church cleaner. Dorcella enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching the Brewers, gardening and embroidering.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton, her parents, her siblings Cordula (Walter) Maile, Loretta (Arthur) Krepline, Elverna (Alois) Bartel, Lester (Erma, Mernabelle) Behnke, Zapora (Allan) Abel, and Wilmer Behnke.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 9, 2014 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. Rev. Timothy Nommensen will officiate. Burial will be in the Westside Cemetery, Reedsville.
