Mr. Threadgill was born to the late Clem and Lillie Threadgill on June 23, 1917, in Waco. He passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, in Tyler.
He lived in Tyler for the past 56 years, and was an accountant for Henry and Peters PC from the early 1950s until the early 1980s. Mr. Threadgill was a member of West Erwin Church of Christ. He was an Army Air Corps pilot and co-pilot, flying B-26's during World War II. He was an avid golfer, scoring two holes in one. Once he scored less than his age by four strokes when he was 80 years old. Mr. Threadgill was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marie Threadgill.
He is survived by his son, Robert V. Threadgill Jr., Cleveland, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be elders of West Erwin Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 8 to 9 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
