Banks-Died at an Augusta Infirmary April 5, 1956, at 6 am. Mr Billy West Banks, 715 Eleventh Street, Augusta, Ga., husband of Mrs. Daisy Dean Martin Banks. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Clair Georgia Baptist Church this Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, the Rev. E.L. Baskin officiating. Remains will be at the funeral home. Interment Magnolia Cemetery, Waynesboro, Ga., Hopper-DeLoach Funeral Home.
Injuries suffered in a traffic accident Saturday night proved fatal yesterday to Billy W. Banks, 28 of 715 Eleventh Street. A technical charge of man slaughter has been booked against David L. Halcame of 1432 Walton Way, driver of an auto which collided with the Banks car. Also injured in the accident on Wheeless Rd. was Josh H. Corley. His condition was reported last night as still serious. Banks a salesman and World War II veteran, died at 6 am. Funeral services will be held today at 3 pm from St. Clair, Ga., Baptist Church. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Waynesboro, Ga. The body will be at Hopper-Deloach Funeral Home in Waynesboro to lie in state until the hour of the funeral. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Daisy Dean Martin Banks, two sons Randy and Rusty Banks of Augusta; two daughters, Gloria and Judy Banks of Augusta: parents Mr. and Mrs. Lansdell Banks Sr. of St. Clair; four brothers Lansdell Banks Jr., of Savannah, Sgt. John T. Banks of the U.S. Air Force, Clifford and Louie Banks of St. Clair.
