Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road in York, with a visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Pastor Brenda Killion will be officiating at the service.
Mrs. Potts was born in Spring Grove, on January 21, 1925, the daughter of the late Samuel and Katie (Harbold) Auchey.
She retired from York Hospital, where she had worked in the Pathology Department's Chemistry Laboratory for 30 years. Mrs. Potts was a 1942 graduate of Spring Grove High School.
She loved family times and her interests included bird watching, rug hooking, reading, and she practiced yoga for 10 years.
Mrs. Potts leaves five children, Steven Potts and his wife, Kimberly, Susan O'Keefe and her husband, Tony Williams, Christine Curran and her husband, Jerry, Jeremy Potts and his wife, Deb, and Lisa Stracar and her husband, Ed; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruby Lingg, Jean Sterner, and Betty Hoke.
