Died at 5:27 p.m. Tuesday at Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was 71, a native of Brusly and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired employee of Coca Cola Bottling Company. Body at Rabenhorst Funeral Home with visiting from 8 to 10:15 a.m. Thursday. Religious services at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Thursday conducted by the Rev. Andrew Frey. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Velma Hebert Alexander, Baton Rouge; one son, Wayne L. Alexander, Baton Rouge; two daughters, Mrs. Merwyn (Patsy) Varnado, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Maureen Johnson, Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. Leah Mae Levert, Brusly; three brothers, Clifford Alexander, Brusly, Hugh Alexander, Brusly, and Leonard Alexander, Port Allen; and three grandchildren.
